U.S. Congressman Robert Garcia has penned an open letter to CBS Entertainment president and CEO George Cheeks calling out the network’s failure to provide closed captioning during Bad Bunny’s appearances onstage at the Grammys on Sunday.

Rep. Robert Garcia is doubling down on his disappointment with CBS for its handling of captioning Bad Bunny’s Grammys performance.

On Wednesday, the California Democrat called out CBS for not offering Spanish-language closed captions during Bad Bunny’s performances and speech during the broadcast.

When Bad Bunny opened the Grammys on Sunday with a mash-up of his songs, fans and other singers stood and danced at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

But at many homes worldwide, viewers didn’t understand what the Puerto Rican artist was singing. While Bad Bunny performed in Spanish, CBS displayed captions stating he was speaking and singing in “NON-ENGLISH.”

Several House Democrats who identify as LGBTQ introduced a resolution Thursday to expel embattled Republican George Santos, pointing to his false statements about the victims of the 2016 Pulse night club shooting.

Santos, who is openly gay, told New York Public Radio that four of his employees were among the 49 victims at the 2016 shooting at the Orlando gay club. A New York Times investigation found that none of the victims appear to have worked at the various firms named in the New York Republican’s biography.

Washington D.C.- Today, Congressman Robert Garcia (CA-42) announced his introduction of a resolution to expel George Santos from Congress along with LGBTQ+ freshmen Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) and Congresswoman Becca Balint (VT-AL). The resolution can be found here.
