Digital Assistant
Congressman Robert Garcia (CA-42) seeks a motivated and creative Digital Assistant in his Washington, D.C. office to support the Member’s communication operation. This position reports directly to the Congressman’s Digital Director. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Conceptualizing and executing short videos to maintain a steady stream of content
• Media monitoring for CA-42
• Clipping the Congressman’s cable news interviews and editing short-form videos for social
• Providing second-camera and production assistance
• Taking first pen at direct-to-camera scripts and social copy for the Congressman’s official accounts
• Creating and stylizing graphics for CA-42
• Informing the Congressman’s paid media program, identifying and justifying posts for paid amplification
• Maintaining up-to-date library of paid media content
The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have prior communications experience and proficiency in Canva and Adobe Premiere Pro video-editing software. Salary range is $60,000 - $70,000 commensurate with experience.
