Federal funding to bolster port safety has been designated for both the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles.

The Long Beach port will receive $4.3 million, while its Los Angeles neighbor will receive $2 million.

This piece of legislation passed as part of a group of amendments into the bipartisan Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) five-year reauthorization bill.
