MSNBC's Ali Velshi is joined by California Democrat Rep. Robert Garcia to discuss what the congressman calls Donald Trump's "racist" and "xenophobic" attacks against immigrants and migrants and how, Garcia says, Pres. Biden manages instead to remind us of our "shared humanity."

The Italian fashion house has been making thousand-dollar garments out of vicuña wool for three decades, but congressman Robert Garcia believes local workers are being exploited in the process. “This seems to me as clearly exploitation and it is a huge multinational corporation that is owned by some of the wealthiest people in the world,” Garcia, a democrat from California, said in an interview with Bloomberg. “Seeing no benefit coming down to the immense labor that is happening here I think is really concerning.”

Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., who spearheaded this effort, said that most immigrants his office helps only speak Spanish, meaning that his staff spends many hours ensuring constituents have access to USCIS forms in Spanish, but then also translating their Spanish-language answers and documents to English before submitting them to USCIS, as required by its current internal policy.

A fed-up Democratic Congressman slammed his GOP colleagues for caring more about loyalty to Donald Trump than about actual issues of national security. [...] “Well, when you say that you want to pollute, when immigrants are polluting this country, that to me and the blood of this country, that is absolutely reminiscent of things that Adolf Hitler said,” Garcia explained. “And, in fact, his imagery, the way he supports white nationalism, the way he supports white supremacy, and those kinds of comments are completely offensive to immigrants and hopefully to all Americans in this country.”
