Congressman Robert Garcia Calls Out House Republicans for Sham Impeachment Hearing Just 48h Before Government Shutdown

Washington D.C.- Today, Congressman Robert Garcia (CA-42) spoke at an Oversight Committee hearing to address the baseless impeachment inquiry against President Biden. The inquiry has been launched just 2 days before a Republican government shutdown is expected to occur.

“We know we’re here today not because of any wrongdoing of President Biden, but rather because Donald Trump wants revenge. He was impeached twice — once for extorting a foreign government by withholding military aid unless they smeared a political opponent — and a second time for sending a mob to stop the certification of an election he knew he lost. So now his most extreme allies — including members of this committee — are retaliating while Kevin McCarthy does NOTHING.” said Congressman Garcia
