Congressman Robert Garcia Statement on Supreme Court Decision to Deny LGBTQ+ Americans Equal Rights and Protections

Long Beach, CA - Today, Congressman Robert Garcia released the following statement in response to the Supreme Court decision in 303 Creative LLC vs. Elenis:
“The extremist Supreme Court has ruled that LGBTQ+ people are now second-class citizens. This is a dark day for our community and our country as a whole. This Trump court has set a dangerous precedent to actively discriminate against LGBTQ+ people. But let me be crystal clear: this is not the end of the fight. We will not allow this court to continue to erode our constitutional civil rights and I will do everything in my power in Congress to continue to fight and advocate for our community.”
