Congressman Robert Garcia Statement on Massie Amendment

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Robert Garcia (CA-42) released the following statement on his vote to support an amendment to the National Security, Department of State, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, which would withhold $3.3 billion in annual Foreign Military Financing to Israel.
 

“Today, I am voting yes on an amendment to block $3.3 billion in American taxpayer dollars for Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli military.

Netanyahu, like Donald Trump, is a corrupt authoritarian who should face criminal courts—not receive billions more for weapons.
 

The American people want lower housing costs and more affordable groceries, not more bombs and foreign wars,” said Congressman Robert Garcia.
